Capt. James has dedicated himself to knowing where the fish are in order to provide his guest with the best possible experience. Your guided bay fishing experience typically begins at Clark's Restaurant in Port O'Connor, around 6:00 am. From there, you'll head out to fish the shallow waters of Esprito Santo, San Antonio, & West Matagorda Bay. During a full day you'll stay out on the water until approximately 3:00 pm and depending on the fish or the guest, you will either be wade fishing or drifting the flats. Speckled trout, redfish, and flounder are abundant in these tidal waters, and it's not uncommon for all three to be strung on a single day's trip. There's nothing quite like a huge trout busting a topwater, or a red rushing your bait and stripping drag on a cool salty morning.
Capt. James supplies all necessary tackle which includes rods & reels and artificial baits (live bait is available at an extra cost), along with cleaning and packaging your catch. Expect to return to shore tan, tired, happy, with a cooler full of fish, and a few good stories.
